UB’s Brandon Cantu: Event 41 – $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

If there was one tournament to follow on through the first day of play this summer at the 2010 World Series of Poker, it may have been the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo. With giant names atop the UB Referral Code leaderboard coming into play, including Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Phil Hellmuth, Barry Greenstein and Brandon Cantu, just waiting for the fireworks to flicker, this is a must-see event. 157 total players secured a chair on Wednesday, but a number of players were slashed down in record fashion.

UB COM‘s Brandon Cantu, one of the aforementioned that did have a fine size stack coming into play, and was appearing to defend his win from the same event last year. However, Cantu ran into a series of trouble after the rest of his table was consecrated with a few big hands, and when it came crunch time, Cantu was forced to push.

One had to think that Cantu’s luck would’ve turned risings after vacating a table that contained  Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow and Chris Ferguson, but that was not the case.
